GEOMEMBRANES,WATER FEATURES and CONTAINMENT LAGOONSThe most common synthetic membranes used for ponds, lakes and lagoons are polyethylenes of high (HDPE) or low density (LDPE), also Polypropylene. LDPE or Polypropylene are preferable if the design is an irregular shape and precise detailing is required. Where rapid installation is required, it is possible to prefabricate in a reinforced Keytec 642 liner. APPLICATIONBoth LDPE and Polypropylene have the distinct advantages
over HDPE because of their flexibility. Whereas HDPE is a more rigid
membrane with much less flexibility, it has a slightly better puncture
resistance and slightly improved chemical resistance above LDPE. Advice is also available on waterfall detail, pipe entries and
fixing structures. For design assistance and information advice contact us.
